We “do what we do best and partner for the rest.” We know the limitations of what we can accomplish on our own, and that greater impact and sustainability can be achieved through collective efforts and a networked approach to shared goals and synergy.
We forge partnerships with:
An integral part of our Fellows Model is partnerships with local CBOs that have synergistic missions in education and strong relationships with rural communities. Working with them allows us to achieve the greatest impact possible for the least amount of resources, while strengthening local collaborations, networks, and support systems for our fellows.
To engage Graduate Students in meaningful internships, research, and field work that support education development in Central America. Examples include practicum field experience for students in program design/research and thesis research/project, etc.
To better connect government education strategies and the needs of local communities, teachers, and students.
To develop different types of partnerships that create shared value, impact investing, and greater reach in achieving mutual education goals.
These long-term partnerships result in the creation and support of a pipeline for our Fellows. Our Fellows Model is tailored to the unique partnerships to ensure greater impact by working together and that our Fellows Model resonates with local, cultural, economic, and environmental realities.
To build greater cohesion between existing education efforts within a region, we bring our partners and Fellows together each year to learn from one another, inform changes in our Model for greater impact, support regional strategic planning efforts that build off everyone’s strengths, and co-fundraise for shared goals.
