IMPACT

How We Measure Impact

We measure our impact by collecting information against a set of indicators that refer to the access, quality, and relevance of local education.

We apply these measures consistently across our program, while listening to the views of partners and Fellows about local adaptations that might be needed. Our work in monitoring, evaluation, and learning seeks to draw out the key insights and lessons valuable not only to ConnectED, but also to our partners and supporters, Fellows, and the communities themselves.

Access to Education

We address critical barriers to ensure the greatest number of learners have access to education, regardless of socio-economic, cultural, linguistic, physical and/or other aspects that may limit their learning.

Quality of Education

We improve education quality by enhancing teacher skills, providing innovative learning experiences through extra-curricular activities, and enhancing community support for education through public discussions.

Relevance of Education

We enhance the relevance of education by providing support to ensure that the teaching and learning process better meets the needs and interests of learners.

Our ViSION for 2025

As we develop and support a Network of ConnectED Fellows across the region, we envision collective impact through high quality and relevant education-focused projects that are replicable in multiple communities. Our vision for 2025 is to improve education outcomes for a minimum of 20,000 rural youth from more than 100 communities throughout the region by building the capacity of local education leaders.

Computer Literacy Project
I am working as a representative of my community to provide technical training to our young people so that they can learn a trade. Youth are getting improved quality of education and I can see the progress in their school performance.
Silvia Carolina Bermúdez // Tortuga, Nicaragua
Teacher Training Project
The teacher training that I participated in was of the utmost importance. I learned a lot of strategies that I put into practice and implement with my students every day.

Preschool Construction Project
We are all very grateful and happy for the preschool. We know its value and are committed to taking care of it. Mostly, we are appreciative of the unique relationship that we have with ConnectED and the way that we always work hand in hand. We now have a healthy preschool environment where children can learn their first letters when before all we had was an unhygienic hut. This is a wonderful thing!
