Sammy Andres Muj Coroxon

Sammy has dedicated 16 years to teaching, serving as a principal and multi-grade teacher for nine years at Escuela Oficial Rural Mixta Cantón Caliaj. In addition to teaching 5th and 6th grade, he teaches music and sciences at two different middle schools. Sammy’s academic background includes studies in education and music technology.
Outside of his professional roles, Sammy volunteers in the Catholic church chorus and is passionate about learning from others. He enjoys understanding people and collaborating with them to improve the educational environment. Sammy became a ConnectED Fellow because of his desire to support his school’s community.
