Marcelina Rosmerida Cuyuch Ixcoy

Marcelina has eight years of experience in her community and serves as a teacher at Escuela Urbana Mixta 25 de Junio in El Palmar, Quetzaltenango, focusing on educating parents and teachers about strategies to support students with special educational needs. With a background as a middle school teacher, Marcelina is passionate about better integrating students with disabilities into society by teaching them vocational skills.
Marcelina’s volunteer work includes her involvement as a member of the COCODE. Marcelina sees ConnectED as an opportunity to further support her community, particularly in addressing the lack of resources for the resource center. She believes in the importance of inclusion and aims to sensitize all students to this theme. Marcelina finds fulfillment in her work and remains dedicated to advocating for resources to facilitate inclusion in education.
