Karen Aracely Tarax

Karen is a primary school teacher with 20 years of experience, overseeing the Resource Center for Inclusive Education (CREI) for all school levels. Karen works at the Escuela Oficial Rural Mixta, Cantón Xetalbijoj, catering to pre and primary levels. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Development Management and a Master’s in Education. In her free time, Karen volunteers with various initiatives, including literacy reinforcement and supporting parents of children with special needs. Karen advocates for the educational rights of children with special needs, acknowledging the challenges faced by parents emotionally and financially. She recognizes the importance of technology in supporting these children, providing visual and auditory aids, and is committed to providing personalized attention to each child, ensuring they receive the support they need.
